PowerPac v12.131 Released

Postby Clifton » Mon Dec 29, 2014 9:22 pm

Changes since v12.12:
  1. Updated VideoJS component from v4.10.2 to v4.11.3.
    • Adds additional language support.
    • Fixes various bugs from previous versions.
  2. Bug fix to pgStyleObject() and related functions
    • Fixed caption font and text positioning getting messed up after running this function on native ToolBook buttons.
    • Seems as though this bug crept in several releases ago when adding features to the styling capabilities of the various PowerPac functions.
  3. Added parameter to getCommandLineParam()
    • NEW parameter called alt_src allows the function to search a query string other than the current address bar string.
    • Useful for searching and replacing parameters in any query string.
  4. NEW FEATURE fixes an exported ToolBook function
    • The ToolBook Action isNumber() function often fails to properly determine whether a value is actually a number.
    • During export, the PowerPac will patch the ToolBook function with a revised function that reliably returns true/false when evaluating numbers.
    • Action Editor use of isNumber() is not affected, but the result of this function call is much more effective.
  5. Bug fixes to PowerPac's Sound Manager
    • When multiple sounds are loaded on a single page, the sound manager would sometimes allow a sound marked stopOnPageNav to continue playing.
    • This problem was not seen when only one or two sounds were loaded.
    • (v12.129) Fixed a problem where the user controls would sometimes not appear in a qualifying field on page navigation when a sound was set to continue playing on navigation.
    • (v12.129) Fixed issues that occurred when pgSoundLoader() was executed with invalid parameters.
  6. Added PowerPac Menu item to go to this online forum
  7. Changed some nomenclature (or terminology) used on some PowerPac menu items.
  8. (v12.130) Authoring engine changes:
Changed default menu selections for NEW books when PowerPac is enabled.
    • Enable IE HTML 5 Display is ENABLED by default
    • Fix browser request for media plugins is ENABLED by default
    • For ToolBook v8.9 and v9.0: WebKit support is ENABLED by default
  9. (v12.131) Bug fix for setPageContentPosition():
When width or height was set to 0, the function would flash the content before hiding it. This was due to a reset occurring before applying the setting to hide the content (width = 0 or height = 0 hides the page content; this is very useful for drawing new pages in the background before displaying them).
