Installation Notes: (all versions):
- You can install new versions directly over older versions to
preserve your clipboard libraries. However, v1.8.9.4 and later versions
introduce a file modification for the way metafiles are saved. Therefore,
earlier clips that contain metafile data will NOT be retrieved correctly in v1.8.9.4.
Clips that do not contain metafile data do not pose a compatibility issue.
- Note:
Users of MS Word 200x should use the latest version of Net ClipShare to ensure
the fullest compatibilty with all your applications.

Revision History (v1.8.9.6):

operations. This has been fixed.
Revision History (v1.8.9.4):
- Improved support for metafiles created in some Windows XP applications. If you
encountered a problem retrieving metafile data, please upgrade to this version. See
also the installation note above when upgrading. This change improves compatibility of
saved clips across a network when different operating systems are communicating (e.g.: Win98 with WinXP).
- Improved paste clip and configuration window display speed.
- Previous versions disallowed saving the HTML format portion of clips when
recording them from within Microsoft Word. This ability has been restored.
- Fixed incorrect time stamp for clips saved on some Windows XP computers.
- Fixed library errors if user named clips that included the vertical bar (|).
Clips can no longer contain this character in the description field.
- Corrected corrupted color display in library view list on some computers.
This problem was observed in Windows XP especially. This was a cosmetic problem only.
- Force library and paste clip windows to pop up correctly on
multi-monitor displays.
- Fix messaging system to work more seemlessly with multi-monitor systems.
- Corrected negative days left during trial period when days left
was 1 or 0.

application exits.

computers.
- Increased system process priorities for Net
ClipShare modules. Helps to ensure a recording when a clipboard change
is detected especially under heavy CPU load.
Revision History (v1.8.2.4):
- Added option to set minimum recorded characters in a text string. Previously
this was hard coded to 3 characters. Text strings smaller than this would not be
recorded. Now you can adjust this setting in the Program Options tab of
the configuration window.
- Prohibited recording clips in Microsoft Excel.
Microsoft Excel does not benefit from clip saving and restoring technology.
However, clips from other programs can be pasted into Excel depending on
Excel's acceptance.
- Net ClipShare no longer saves HTML
clipboard formats created by Microsoft Word. This forces your graphics
to always appear rather than be displayed as a picture placeholder. NOTE:
you can still paste HTML coded clips into Microsoft Word.
Revision History (v1.8.2.2):
- Clip recording mechanism completely rewritten to permit 100% support for
Microsoft Office applications. NOTE: We recommend uninstalling any
previous version before installing this version. You can install over a
prior installation, but this version will not be able to retrieve any clips
saved in previous Net ClipShare versions. We apologize for this inconvenience.
You should not encounter this
issue with future upgrades to this product.
